Books and Burkoff

Listening to: Shadows of the Empire (Audio Book)
So this past year I read a ton of books, which is astonishing to people who know me since I used to never read.  I love lists and love to discuss things I read so in lue of that I am making a list of the top books I read last year. But for those who disagree that I have not read actual books I will separates them into three different divisions, fiction, non-fiction, and audio books.
Stargate SG-1: Do No Harm by Karen Miller

Luther: A Biography by: Fredrick Nohl
The Space Between: A Parent’s Guide to Teenage Development by: Walt Mueller
reThink: by Steve Wright
thinkOrange: by Reggie Joiner
The Prodigal God: by Tim Keller
Conterfit Gods: by Tim Keller
Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry: by Doug Fields
Religion Saves and 9 other misconceptions: by Mark Driscoll

Don’t Waste Your Life: by John Piper
Joshua: by Dale Ralph Davis

Four Views on Hell: by Stanley N. Gundry
Three Views on the Millennium and Beyond: by Stanley N. Gundry
Four Views on Salvation in a Pluralistic World: by Dennis L. Okholm
Are Miraculous Gifts for Today? Four Views: by Wayne Grudem
Romans: by Martin Luther
Romans: by John MacArthur
Romans: by John Calvin
Romans: by James Boice
Audio Book:
Star Wars: Dark Forces: Soldier for the Empire: by William C. Dietz
Star Wars: Dark Forces: Rebel Agent: by William C. Dietz
Star Wars: Dark Forces: Jedi Knight: by William C. Dietz
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire:
Star Wars: Heir to the Empire: Timothy Zahn
Star Wars: Dark Forces Rising: Timothy Zahn
Star Wars: The the Last Command: Timothy Zahn
So in conclusion all I read are books that are helpful to ministry or books that are Science Fiction.
So I was reading Louis Berkhof’s Systematic Theology a few days ago and I came across this statement  “Sanctification may be defined as that gracious and continuous operation of the Holy Spirit by which He purifies the sinner, renews his whole nature in the image of God, and enables him to perform good works.”[1] This statement is so true and what is does it give us confidence that we are kept in fold of God and how after salvation we are not just bums sitting on a couch but people who are to supposed to go do good works for Him.  In this year we should be focused on spreading his Word through living our lives fully for Him.
