Bake Through the Bible at Christmas is part of the, Through the Bible series, as well as being a beginning with God resource. This resource is written by Susie Bentley-Taylor and Bekah Moore while being produced by the Good Book Company. Bake Through the Bible at Christmas, takes the same level of Excellence that is expected with this series and takes it to the next level. With twelve fun cooking activities, a young child is able to understand the account of the birth of the savior in a new learning atmosphere. For children learn in different ways than adults, the best way for a child to learn is through play. Which makes Bake Through the Bible at Christmas exactly what a child needs, for it puts Christ at the center of their play and in a manner which a child can understand, because they are playing Through the Bible.
For this reason an adult does not need to make a plan lesson plan to do any of these activities. For Bentley-Taylor and Moore give a summary of the biblical narrative and provide talking points for each cooking activity. These talking points are two-fold, for they are for while you are cooking as well as while you were eating the treat.
Furthermore the recipes are wonderfully delicious, as I have tried numerous ones myself. As I minister to children and as a father of young children, this book is a wonderful addition to anyone’s Christmas season and a perfect gift for any parent, guardian, or caregiver, I highly recommend it.
This book was provided to me free of charge from The Good Book Company in exchange for an unbiased, honest review.
